Show Your Support...
Xerox is sending printed cards of thanks to our troops in Iraq. No matter how you may feel about this war, supporting our troops should be our #1 priority.
Please take a moment to pick out a card and send it to a soldier serving our country so far away from home.
From the Lets say thanks website:
"The mission of Let's Say Thanks is to provide a way for individuals across the country to recognize U.S. troops stationed overseas. By submitting a message through this site you have the opportunity to send a free personalized postcard greeting to deployed servicemen and women.
The postcards, depicting patriotic scenes and hometown images, were selected from a pool of entries from children across the country.
All you have to do is click on your favorite design and either select the message that best expresses your sentiment or draft a personal note. The postcards are then printed on the Xerox iGen3® Digital Production Press and mailed in care packages by military support organization Give2TheTroops®.
Xerox is committed to helping people across the nation express their gratitude to our troops overseas. The launch of this program is aimed at reminding them how much Americans appreciate their service."
God Bless

I really enjoy reading your blog, it always has great insight. But I am very frustrated with the media’s lack of questions to the presidential candidates about global warming.
The Daily Green just put an article out talking about how the presidential candidates are not being asked where they stand on the issue of the climate change - this is surprising to me considering its such a MAJOR concern to people. I just saw a poll on www.EarthLab.com that says people care a lot what their next leader thinks about global warming (after you take it they show you the results). Does anyone know of another poll or other results about this subject?
If not, go to http://www.earthlab.com/life.aspx and take their poll to see which way the results go. This is a pretty legit website; they are endorsed by Al Gore and the alliance for climate protection and they have a carbon footprint calculator. No matter which political party you vote for this is an important issue for our environment, our economy and for homeland security.
Hey, I think you and your readers would really enjoy Blue State. It's a new movie coming out on DVD this month starring Breckin Meyer as this super-liberal guy working on the 2004 Kerry campaign. He makes a drunken bet that if Bush wins the election, he'll move to Canada ... and we all know what happened there. It also stars Anna Paquin (of X-men fame) - check it out.
